Our Yukon Wilderness adventures have received many accolades. Your

Hereby
we would like you to have the book of the man that
inspired us to go to the Yukon (Essential Bushcraft
by Ray Mears). Furthermore, we would like to thank you
for your warm welcome and your good company. We could
never imagine a trip like this in our bestest dreams,
but we are lucky enough to experience just that. In one
word, it was ... Unbelievable!
We
are not able to say everything we want to say because
our English is not good enough. The beauty and kindness
of you both .... gives us joy, freedom and energy! Thank
you for being as are Clayton! You gave us what we looked
for - great and lovely nature and freedom. We got peace
in our mind and in our hearts! To be with you, a man of
nature with a lot of feeling and knowledge is like to
be with an old friend of us! You both gave us a feeling
of being with old and best known friends! Thank you for
everything!
Perhaps young people would
use one of their favourite words when wishing to express their extreme approval -
"awesome". Things such as the strength of the river and its quietness, billions
and billions of wild roses in bloom, such beauty, campfire and conversations, raisins in
the porridge, a young person that fitted in perfectly, the fishing lessons, always a good
nights sleep. On and on and on . . .
Thank you for the friendship. I will relive this experience over and over.
What a memorable experience camping on the shore of the swollen waters of the Yukon
River, listening to campfire stories, while eating delicious home-cooked gourmet food.
Despite the seemingly endless rain, we enjoyed the friendship, were entertained with the
bear and moose calls and sightings, and absorbed the awesome feeling of isolation
traveling along in the wilderness on the Yukon River.

With 53 years of life I have traveled the world and thought Id experienced
everything. It wasnt until I found Cedar & Canvas Adventures I really understood
there is more to life than what Id been looking for.
My spirit and soul came together on my first trip. I was calmed and able to make some
major decisions in my life to take me forward in a positive direction. When I returned the
next year the magic was still there.
This is truly the last frontier and I encourage everyone to try the adventure. I will
be back again next year, and the year after, and the year after that.
We feel fortunate to have met you folks, and are very impressed with your abilities.
The story telling, animal calling, intimate knowledge of the animals and the way of living
there really added lots and we learned a lot.
and
... thank you again for a great trip.
Clayton is the best guide we've been with, and
made the adventure extra special. The
company, paddling, scenery, sightings,
organization and meals were all superb.
Beans, bacon and spuds were never so good, nor
so welcome!
What
a great holiday we had with Cedar & Canvas
Adventures. Never having been to the Yukon, you
opened our eyes to the beauty of the land and
the wildlife. Our trip down the Teslin will stay
with us for a long time. It was great to have the paddle canoe
without having to pack our gear and knowing you were an experienced guide made us feel
secure and excited about whatever exploring came our way. What a family holiday! We will
be recommending Cedar & Canvas to all of our friends and we wish you many successful
trips because we sure enjoyed ours.
 It
is wonderful that you take people like us to the
land, back sloughs and eddies. You open our eyes
to what is right before us and you open our ears
without intruding. We felt at peace. The only
thing I’d change is to stay out longer on the
river and walk more to use up all the delicious
calories we ate.
From every aspect our trip was great. The food was healthy, plentiful and tasty.
Clayton is an excellent river guide - very knowledgeable in the natural and human history
of the river, as well as having a vast knowledge about the animals we saw.
We made some good friends after being together for six days. Claytons jokes and
recitals of Robert Service kept us loose and in great spirits. I think at the end we felt
we had made a good friend in Clayton.
The sense of space in the Yukon has to be seen to be comprehended. The quiet and
solitude can only be sensed by being there. I really enjoyed the early morning when I
would go out alone along the rivers edge by foot to absorb the panoramic views and
the sun. Totally absorbed in the experience of the land.
...trips are fun and personal with a huge emphasis on
leaving nature as you find it. ....went on a
10-day Salmon River canoe trip in September and whilst
it was at times hard work, cold and with few home
comforts, I came away feeling I had really lived the
Yukon experience. ... a wonderful experience ...
comes highly recommended.
Have
you ever wanted to hike to a place where quite
possibly nobody else has been? You can
book a tour package to discover these remote
areas where serenity surfaces in the solitude
and the land knows that you are there. I
did and I loved it. Thank you!
Our
trip with Clayton and Nansi on the Wind river was a
challenging experience. It was the first real canoe trip
for us. We had no idea what to expect and it was more
difficult and exhausting than we would have thought.
Nevertheless, it was a great trip and a life experience
that we will never forget.
Thanks to Clayton and Nansi we
managed to overcome all challenges. The entire trip was
very well planned and the food was superb thanks to chef
Clayton.
The nature up at the Wind river is
extraordinary and impressive and makes you feel very
small in comparison. This was our second trip with
Clayton, Nansi and Gunner and hopefully it wasn't the
last.
